The wellness mentality is dawning on American culture as never before. Americans are becoming alarmed at the amount of toxins in the environment, obesity rates, lack of exercise, poor eating habits and shocking statements being made by acclaimed authors such as Randall Fitzgerald, author of The Hundred Year Lie, who states we are in the process of becoming "a hybrid species".
The kind of food we ingest is not the only thing we need to be aware of. Just as alarming is how health problems, illnesses and diseases are occurring at younger and younger ages among people. Neurological diseases, Parkinson's, MLS, MS, the whole range of illnesses, and especially cancer -- are occurring in people that, two or three decades ago, would have only been occurring in elderly people. Could there be a linkage between health problems, diets and synthetic chemicals? The latest research confirms there is, and if it doesn't stop, we could well be on our way to becoming a hybrid species - human mutants, according to Fitzpatrick.
Fitzgerald states in his book that, starting about two decades ago, wildlife biologists began noticing -- in lakes, rivers, the ocean and in swamps like the Everglades -- that fish and amphibian species, in particular, were becoming mutants. Hermaphrodites were emerging in numbers never seen before. Alligators in the swamps of the Everglades, fish off of the coast of California, fish in the Great Lakes and fish in the Potomac River, outside of Washington, D.C., have been documented, over the last few years, as having ever-greater numbers of hermaphroditic fish. It's now being widely documented in frogs worldwide. And increasingly in numerous wildlife species.
What is the common denominator in all of these changes that are creating mutants in the wild? It is synthetic chemicals. It is pesticides, in particular along with other synthetic chemical contaminants in the water - estrogen from contraceptive and hormonal therapy use, in particular - that are being spewed out by waste water treatment plants, which do not have the technological capacity to remove these synthetic chemicals. The result is these chemicals are being excreted by humans and by industrial processes into our waterways. They are ending up in the bodies of fish and animals and producing hybrids, which can rightly be called a mutant species. In turn, humans are consuming many of these wildlife mutants, including the fish. In men, the enormous increase of breast reduction surgeries and the completely documented decrease in sperm count over the last several decades prove that changes inside humans are already taking place.
We are recycling, through our drinking water and through many of the foods we eat, these chemical toxins into our body. The water purification plants, much like the wastewater treatment plants, are not technologically sophisticated enough to remove these synthetic chemicals. We are recycling them in ever-greater quantities through our bodies and through nature, because more than 1,000 new synthetic chemicals are being created and introduced into the marketplace every year. Not only that, but more than 100,000 synthetic chemicals are already in wide use in the marketplace. The quantities of those individual chemicals being produced are increasing by the rate of every decade, doubling, and in some cases, tripling, in the manufacturing capacity.
What is the solution? According to Fitzgerald, the first step in being proactively holistic is to go through a detoxification program. The toxins need to be removed through detox methods that work. The Thalasso Effect that Atlantispa advocates assists in detoxing a person, along with a rigid alkaline diet of ionized water and greens. The initial detox of a person can go on for several weeks, depending on the toxicity of the person. After that, detoxification maintenance is ongoing. For more information on a complete Thalasso Effect detoxification program, call Atlantispa at 563-445-7331. A personal Thalasso Effect program can be established for you at our business or in your home.
Once a person is detoxed, a new mindset that understands both outer and inner wellness is possible.
